Cat Boarding

Welcome to The Cat Castle! Please take a moment to review our cat boarding terms and conditions to ensure a smooth and pleasant stay for your feline friend.

VISIT US

Feel free to come and view our cattery. You are very welcome during opening hours for a viewing, and no appointment is required.

TRADING DAYS AND TIMES

• Opening Days: 7 days a week, excluding public holidays.
• Opening Hours: 7:00 am – 9:00 am and 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm.

We are closed on public holidays. Arrivals and departures outside these hours must be arranged in advance, and a fee may apply. Please email us with your request.

DEPOSIT & DAYS CHARGED

To avoid issues with no-shows and last-minute cancellations, we require a non-refundable deposit:

• $50 per week booked during peak periods.
• $30 per pet during other periods.

A non-refundable boarding fee, as set by management, is payable by credit card or EFT at the time of booking for each animal. Accounts will be processed by credit card upon arrival and must be finalised upon departure. Long-term boarders  pay monthly, with payments processed by credit card.

Our peak periods are Easter, school holidays, Christmas, and New Year.

CHECK-IN

All pet details are logged on our Pet Admin software, including any special needs, vet details, medication, and dietary requirements. We can administer injections if required, and we do not charge extra for administering any medication for your cat. All pets must be fully vaccinated and hold a valid certificate that must be presented on arrival as a condition of residence. If your pet becomes unwell during the  stay, it will be treated by our or your vet.

COLLECTION

If cats are not collected within 14 days of their scheduled departure date and no communication is received from the owner, a decision regarding the pet will be made at the cattery owner’s discretion.

If the required charges are not paid, the management has the right to offer the animal for public sale or otherwise dispose of the animal in any manner deemed appropriate. If such sale/disposal does not cover the charges and the cost of sale/disposal, the owner is liable to the Operator for any shortfall.

Cat boarding rates are charged on a calendar day basis. Your cat’s suite is available from 7 am on your arrival date and until 5:30 pm on your departure day. Any pet not collected by 5:30 pm will be subject to an extra day’s boarding charge. Payment may be made by EFTPOS, cash, or credit card.

The owner agrees to pay all costs and charges for special services requested and any veterinary costs for the cat during their stay. In the event of serious illness where the owner cannot be contacted, the veterinary surgeon’s decision will be final.

We reserve the right to revise our prices when necessary. All prices quoted will be at the rate prevailing at the time of booking and boarding.

HEALTH

Cats must be fully inoculated against Feline Leukaemia, Feline Infectious Enteritis, Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (Feline Herpes Virus), and Feline Calicivirus, with a booster injection within the previous twelve months.

Out-of-pocket expenses incurred by us for the treatment of your pet, including transport charges and administration fees, will be charged to the owner. If a pet dies at the facility, we will notify you or your emergency contact. You will be responsible for collecting the deceased pet. If not collected within a reasonable time frame, we will transport the deceased pet to a veterinary clinic or crematorium at your expense.

You acknowledge and agree that your pet may engage in playtime with other animals, which may result in injury or death. We are not responsible for any item brought into the facility that is lost, destroyed, or left behind. You leave your pet in our care at your own risk and agree to indemnify us against all claims arising from illness, injury, or death of your pet or other animals.

Note: We do not accept unneutered male cats over six months of age.

FEEDING

Cats are fed various quality cat foods, including fish, fresh mince, and quality canned foods. If your cat has a specialised diet, please bring it with you, or additional fees may apply ($1 up to $4/day for a veterinary-prescribed diet if available).

BELONGINGS

Cats must be brought in a secure cat carrier (PP20 preferred). We provide all necessary bedding, food, dishes, and toys. You may bring your pet’s bedding or toys, but we cannot guarantee their return. We are not responsible for any item brought into the facility that is lost, destroyed, or left behind.

BOOKINGS

Bookings can be made online (see bookings tab) or by phone during opening hours.

1. Under no circumstances will the owner, its employees, or agents be held responsible for injury, death, loss, or damage of any kind to any cat while in the control of The Cat Castle.
2. By proceeding to board your cat, you acknowledge acceptance of the Conditions of Boarding and certify the accuracy of all information provided.
3. The Operator reserves the right to refuse entry of any animal without explanation.

PHOTOS AND SOCIAL MEDIA

By boarding your cat at The Cat Castle, you acknowledge and agree that your pet may be photographed for marketing and promotional purposes on our website and social media accounts.

MISCELLANEOUS

If any provision of these T&Cs is void, voidable, or unenforceable, it will be read down or excluded as necessary. These T&Cs are governed by the laws of Australia. We reserve the right to update these T&Cs from time to time.
